Condolences from Vatican on death of senior Buddhist abbot in Thailand



The Vatican has sent  condolence to Thailand on the death of a senior Buddhist abbot Somdej Phra Buddhacharn. The Vatican’s Pontifical Council for Inter-Religious Dialogue has made arrangement to sent it.

The monk has passed away on the 10th of August in  Samitivej hospital  in Thailand.  He was  a senior and most respected monk in the abort circle. He was the chairman of the inter-religious dialogue on behalf of the Buddhist monks in Thailand.

As it is mentioned in the CNA website ...
"In a message sent through the Apostolic Nunciature in Bangkok, Cardinal Jean Louis Tauran, president of the pontifical council, expressed sincere condolences for the loss of the prominent religious leader, as well as hope for continuing dialogue and friendship.
Monsignor Andrew Vissanu Thanya Anan, deputy secretary general for the Thai bishops’ conference and former Vatican undersecretary for the Pontifical Council for Inter-Religious Dialogue, will be representing the Thai Catholic bishop’s delegation at the funeral ceremonies."
With the new pope the Vatican is so sensitive to the pulse of the other people  and religions.  It is a good sign with respect to the world and religious leaders that Vatican extended. 

The Catholic community will be happy with the condolence of Vatican to Thailand senior Buddhist abbot Somdej Phra Buddhacharn. The effort of Vatican will highlight the that humanity is more important beyond all the teaching of religions.
